Volt Rush 43g Ultra-Light Running Tank | DRY FLOW™

In my twenties I cared whether kit looked fast. Now, approaching fifty, I care whether it irritates me after a long warm up. This manages to look lively and feel unobtrusive, so both versions of me would probably approve. The black and white graphic is distinctive, the yellow gives it some energy, and the fine fabric is the part that makes me reach for it on a close morning.

I used to wear a thicker vest and thought the heavy feeling was unavoidable. This still gets wet, but there's much less material to become weighed down. That's the difference I keep coming back to when choosing it.

A smooth feel where my arms pass the body. Very useful when the pace gets untidy towards the end.

That was the intention. Very happy with the yellow and monochrome combination.

Plain black shorts under this and you're done.

Nothing special about the route or the weather. Just enjoyed the bright yellow detail and having comfortable fabric against my skin. Some purchases don't need a bigger story than that.

The Maestrale Eco feels soft even where it doubles over into a fold. I notice that when stretching or bending forward during recovery. It doesn't turn into a rough edge against the torso.

Very little weight, clear arm movement and a fine fabric against the chest. Doesn't need a complicated explanation.

I like bold clothing but often find the interesting designs on thick, generic sports tops. Volt Rush has the visual energy I wanted without that compromise. The yellow panel against the black and white pattern is striking, while the fabric itself feels extremely light. Once I start running I notice the free shoulders and gentle contact against my sides much more than the print. That's a combination I hadn't found often.

The graphic got a few questions. For once I had an answer other than 'it came in a race bag'.

Nothing digging in as my elbows come back. That can make or break a singlet for me.

Especially when there's very little shirt attached to it.

Space was limited, so everything in the bag had to earn its place. This did through low bulk and how quickly it became wearable again after a rinse. The design also made it easy to find among everyone else's kit on the drying rack. I can't say the singlet improved the training, but it made packing and getting ready pleasantly straightforward.

My shoulders are broader than my waist. I appreciated being able to move my arms freely rather than feeling the whole garment lift every time.

A very good combination if subtle isn't the goal. The bright yellow panel is the detail I liked immediately.

Really like the design and low weight. I would have liked a little more guidance on how much room the intended fit leaves through the body. Once running, the material and shoulder cut were comfortable. Four stars from me for now.

The singlet looks ready for a serious session. I am ready for a chatty jog. We're getting along fine.

Bending to retie a shoe didn't leave a bulky bunch of material sitting at my middle. The fabric settles back easily.

Needed to clear my head. Was nice to pull on something that felt light and comfortable without thinking too hard about it. The running helped too.

Looks great against the black and white. Much more interesting than a plain fluorescent top.

I'm warm before we've left the car park. The open shoulders and fine fabric are a welcome starting point.

I tried it during a session with a long jog beforehand. By the first rep I was already sweaty, but the tank hadn't become a heavy layer. It remained easy to move in through the work and recovery sections.

Short session, minimal kit, out and back before dinner. The lightweight feel suits that routine beautifully.
